For Those Who Wonder and Wander
Sadly in France, you can’t go for a cheeky Nandos when the mood strikes. However, during my time in Paris, I have stumbled upon a few places that give a good stab at sating my hunger and providing a quirky French experience that every time I visit.
I have no idea what I’m doing. It’s 1am and I’m awake in my room, feeling slightly hungry despite having eaten my feelings with a plateful of pasta earlier on.
However the moment that you gaze up at an ancient artwork in the Louvre or at the grand ceiling of Saint-Paul Saint-Louis to imagine the latter coming to life after hours under a pair of talented hands or the former even having one of its pillars leaned against by a bored child, it does take your breath away.
I’ll probably never see him again but taking a leap of faith meant that someone took one too by opening up to me with genuine kindness.
